We are family owned business. Currently we specialize on specific condition and hazardous material surveys, thermal imaging and airborne inspection services for commercial, office and industrial buildings. The company name has remained almost the same, the company form has changed over the years due different focus points. This is how it all started.
Arkkitehtitoimisto Leena Alinikula (Architect Agency Leena Alinikula) was founded in 1978. As an entrepreneur Leena Alinikula offered architectural design services for single and apartment houses and for renovation projects on mainly commercial and office buildings. From many long term clients the OKO, TEKES, VTT and Tapiola Oy can be mentioned.
Year 2001 marked significant change. The company form was changed as Tuomas Alinikula was joined as company co-owner and CEO, name was changed to Suunnittelutoimisto Alinikula to better reflect the new bias as both architectural and engineering company. The architectural, structural and building physical design of over 1000 square meter gym/wellness center located at Helsinki City center on Scandic Hotel Simonkenttä building was one of first assignment of this reborn company.
During year 2004 architect Leena alinikula retired. After the generation change focus has been on specific condition surveys and developing new methology to get deeper knowledge and understanding of the causes of the damages affecting buildings and thus better advice to our clientele about repair methods and removal of the causes of the premature deteriorating.
During years 2005-2016 Suunnittelutoimisto Alinikula has been responsible of over 500 projects. Projects have been specific condition surveys, indoor-air surveys, hazardous material surveys, thermal imaging and other structural inspections. The current emphasis is on commercial, office and industrial buildings. Our clients have been international industry leading consultants, property managers and private equity real estate companies. The long term clients have been Pöyry Finland Oy, Ramboll Finland Oy, Granlund Oy and Optiplan Oy.
